Watercolours
Marylyn lives at Casa Blanca by the Sea Bed and Breakfast on Gabriola Island, BC, Canada in the summer, and at Casa Verano Eterno in Rincon de Guayabitos, Nayarit, Mexico in the winter. She has been an avid basket maker since 2002, and a watercolourist since the 1980's.
Marylyn’s watercolours radiate with colours - from soft, delicate and transparent to luscious, deep and vibrant. She especially loves to paint flowers and leaves, with constant inspiration from her gardens, both on Gabriola Island and in Mexico. She loves to explore combining watercolour into collages, and has recently introduced basketry weaving techniques into her watercolours, creating a cross-over between her two most loved art forms.
